These components are the building blocks of Parallel's display systems. They are flexible devices that can be reconfigured to serve a wide array of system requirements.
DC6CH
LED module controller.
Custom display panels are designed using large arrays of constant current LED driver chips.
This FPGA based display controller converts the display data for a panel into the low level signals
required to drive the display.
The DC6CH controller buffers display data for the panel and drives the LED power circuitry.
Capable of driving a variety of full color or monochrome panels.
EPIAGPU
LED Display processor.
This board provides the interface between a computer which generates display content and our custom
LED display hardware. It converts high bandwidth RGB pixel data from its flat panel display port into multiple,
lower bandwidth serial or LVDS streams. It also provides color and gamma correction functions, all
implemented in dedicated programmable hardware. Configuration and control is accomplished by an embedded
microcontroller core in the FPGA over a serial link to the host computer.
Image Engine
Embedded Linux Display Processor
Based on the compact, inexpensive and widely availble mini-ITX computer platform, these custom computers
run the software that generates the content for display systems. Because display data is generated from
the flat panel monitor output of the computer, there is no computational overhead placed on the processor
to drive the LED display and the image can come from any application running on the platform.
